Crawley Down III 2 - 2 Ardingly

This was a good performance from the team and all individuals. We showed determination and endeavour and for long periods we out played a very good team – apart from the first fifteen to twenty minutes we played some excellent football. Lead again by skipper Mike Sinfield we performed with flair and passion. Dale had his best game yet – with Dave Will running and tackling all day – Matt Wiles holding the midfield together – both Andys attacked and defended all game.

Again Dave Shep lead and played an outstanding game.

The defence marshalled by Ash and Mike was outstanding and a special mention to our youngsters Neil and Dave who didn’t put a foot wrong.

After going a goal down in the first five minutes we battled and had about four good goal scoring opportunities in the first half and then the equaliser through a Dale free kick – struck with stunning pace….We then deservedly went 2 – 1 up with a fantastic move and through ball by Dale for Dave Shep to score. Then tiredness crept in and we gave a goal at a corner.
